My oldest, closest friend is in India for three months. I've known him since we were about eight years old, and we've stayed in touch off and on over the years, except for some time in high school and then when he went to UC Berkeley. For the last ten years or so, there's rarely a week when we don't talk. Now he's a professor in northern California, living the good life.
