I just noticed that my book, This Many Miles from Desire, is up for the 2008 Members' Choice Award from the Asian American Writers' Workshop. The list of nominees is incredible (Shin, Kwon Dobbs, Legaspi, Sharma, Park Hong, Song, and others, in poetry). You can see them here, and current members of the Workshop can vote until November 26. I don't know how you choose---in fiction, Ha Jin, Min Jee Lee, Tao Lin, among others, are nominated.

Congratulations to my good friend Sasha Pimentel Chacón, whose expansive poem "Blood, Sister," is forthcoming in the American Poetry Review.

I can't speak for the other books, Lee, but I've read yours and the book is magnificent! I hope it wins.
