I am excited.
978-1-933456-61-4.
That is the ISBN for my book, This Many Miles from Desire, which is coming out in June from WordTech Communications. My publisher told me this morning that it will be $17, distributed through Ingram (and sold on Amazon and other places eventually).
If anyone would like to pre-order copies for yourself, friends or family, for review, or for classroom use, please e-mail me or contact the publisher.

I am looking forward to reading at the California Association of Teachers of English conference next week. Featured poets at the conference are none other than Billy Collins and Jane Hirshfield.

Emmy, thanks for your comment about the title. I'd had that as my working title for years, and I almost changed it at the last minute to Uproot. I'm glad I didn't, though.
Wow, Lee, so much happening for you. Congratulations over and over and over again!!!!

AWESOME! I can't wait! BTW: Your poems spotlighted in Nick Carbo's MiPoesias are wonderful, very endearing.
thanks, Michael. Those two poems are quite different---the first one is in my book; the second one I wrote upon Nick's call for poems (very recently).
