Alvin Lau, Slam Poet
Meet Alvin Lau, Slam Poet. Former Two-Time National Youth Poetry Slam Champion. I saw him last night at the acclaimed ILL List 3. Very impressive. Poets who also made the trip to Modesto worthwhile were Mike McGee, Anis Mojgani, Scorpio Blues, and Todd Mann. And the Suicide Kings were really good, too. Congratulations, Sam, on a great event.

Thanks, Emmy. He's really powerful. Two of my other favorites, if your students get interested in such poets, are Adriel Luis and Ishle Yi Park, and of course, Bao Phi. They're massively talented. Hope all's well!
