Opening Chord

My new side project is called Opening Chord. I see it as a small band off the main stage. It's quite different than what I envisioned with the Z Project, but I'm pleased with it. Feels like a new shirt. Come on by and take a look.

I think you've come up with a great idea. It will keep your creative juices flowing. I'm someone that struggles with poetry, both reading and writing, and this seems like a good (dare I say) exercise to keep you going.

That last sentence was really bad.

I dont' see an edit button. Do I have to register? Maybe I should just do that and quit wasting bandwidth :)

Hey Jason, thanks for dropping by. How are things at KAW? I'm really hoping that the new side blog will keepme motivated.

As far as registering goes, I don't think you have to do that. If you're talking about how to comment on the new blog, you can do that by clicking on "No Comments" at the end of the post.

Hey Lee,

Emmy did a great thing by reminding you to do something for yourself. Funny how people have to actually remind us to do things for ourselves. It looks great so far. Good luck with it!

sume, you're so right. it's weird how sometimes the best decisions are the most simple ones, right in front of us.

jae ran, thank you. i've written each day so far. it's liberating because i am writing quite differently than i normally do. the little freewrites are just the result of one spark/line without revision or too much over-thinking, so it's fun and light. i don't know about other writers, but it's helping me to be doing something a little different for a while.

Lee, I agree with everyone.
They are lovely.
I need to spend some more time with them. The evoke a sense of peace. I admire that.
Thanks.

Emmy, Sheryl---thank you both. It's a nice diversion...

by the way, I saw the new issue of the Indiana Review...read half the interview (before I had to leave, but I'm going to go back and finish it!)...I enjoyed it a lot. And Sheryl, congrats on the finalist honor for the Colorado Book Award!
